Our Home (that we do not live in)

This is a picture of our house after we got the front yard ready to seed. It now has landscaping around it and grass almost everywhere.

I thought I would update you on our house situation. During the holiday season we did not have any action on it (which I did not expect anyway) but now that spring is hopefully coming soon for MI we are starting to have showings on it. Within the past 4-5 weeks we have had about 5-6 showings. Our realtor suggested that we drop the price, so we did not really wanting too but it has helped get action on. We have another showing tomorrow so we just keep praying that people will continue to go through it and hopefully someone will make an offer. We do know that one family has been through it 3 times and really likes it. We just keep praying that that someone special will come along and will be able to enjoy it since we cant. It was really hard leaving it since we put some much heart and sole into it to make it our own and we really were not able to enjoy it that long. But we feel that God wants us to be in NC at this point so we are here. Work is going really well for Pete and the company. They are trying to find permanent guys to work down here. They have about 3-4 now but will probably need a few more. They are not steady yet with work but they are definitely getting more and people are starting to refer them. So people are happy with their work which is really good. Other than that we are getting ready for our second son who should hopefully be here in 2 months if not sooner. PJ is doing really well. He is walking really good and loves to be outside. So this summer should be really fun now that we can go to parks and he can actually play on the toys.

I will update again about our house if anything else happens with it. Hopefully next time I write about it, it will be to say that we are not the owners of it any longer.

Happy Child = Happy Mom

PJ and his dukes (dukes = burp cloths, I use to carry them around when I was a child and we called them dukes) He likes has to have a least two when he goes to bed, but in the meantime he walks around hugging them. I thought it was cute so I thought I would share with all of you.

He was just in a good mood that day so I took some pictures of him. It is so nice to see a happy child isn't it?

My Parents made a visit to NC

My parents drove down to visit us a couple of weekends ago and we had a great time. They left MI on Thursday and then went back on Monday. The weather was in their favor when they were here so we were able to be outside alot. It was mid-60's most of the weekend. PJ was happy to have someone else to play with besides his parents. We went to a National Whitewater Rafting park that is man made. They are going to hold the Olympic tryouts there in April. When we were there they had the Americans and Canadians there that were doing a few races. So we could have saw a Olympian finalist that day. My dad took some pictures of them so we will have to see. There is also the biggest outdoor rock climbing wall there and 11 miles of trails there as well. It was a great place to go hang out and watch people for the afternoon. PJ is now officially walking and he had a lot of practice that day. His legs were so tired but he did not want to ride or be carried. After a great afternoon at the park we were going to go out for dinner. My mom and Pete made a bet and my mom lost so she had to come down to NC and buy Pete dinner. We were looking for a BBQ place since that is known down here. We got a GPS when we moved down here and named the lady that talks Julie. Julie did not help us one bit. She brought us to restaurant's that were either not open or did not exists anymore. Me being pregnant and hunger was getting a little impatient. The picture of the Hog Wild restaurant was our 2 stop but there were a lot of driving around in between the two. PJ was tired and crabby and so was his mom. We finally found a restaurant that is actually owned by a MI man. We had been there before but is was not a BBQ place. So next time they come down we will find a good BBQ place. We also went to another park about an hour away that has a whole bunch of activities for kids. Animals, play area, a train, fish and snake aquarium, and lots of kids. So we went up there and let him play for a while. Then almost every night we played Wii, and it was very entertaining. My dad beat Pete up a little but thats alright (he accidentally hit him a few times with the remotes). We had a great time with them and were thankful that they were able to come down. We look forward for our next visitors.

PJ's new ride

This is what PJ drives when we go get the mail. Our mailbox is a few minutes away, so he rides in here and then carries it back for me. Like my new ride?

"Look mom, no hands"

First haircut!

When we were in MI last (middle of Feb) we got PJ his first haircut. He was in need of one since he only grew hair on one side in the back. So it looked like he had a sideways mullet. It was a mullet too, even a guy on the plane ride there made a comment about his hair. So Grandma cut it off for us and now he looks like a little boy.

Looks good in pink huh!
There's the mullet
First snip! Bye bye mullet
"I cant believe she cut my mullet off"
